Shanghai Nanjing West Road Comprehensive Development

Located in one of Shanghai’s most prestigious commercial districts, the Nanjing West Road Jin Cang Wenhua Comprehensive Development is a flagship mixed-use project by Shanghai Dahua Group that brings together retail, office space, residential units, and a hotel within a single, integrated urban destination. With high daily traffic from residents, visitors and employees, the underground carpark needed a flooring solution that combined long-term durability, safety and a refined appearance appropriate for a premium city landmark. Flowcrete’s Deckshield car park systems were selected to meet these demands through a carefully considered, performance-led design.

Deckshield OP was used in parking bays, delivering a robust, abrasion-resistant surface with a decorative textured finish that enhances visibility and overall appearance. For drive lanes exposed to constant vehicle movement, Deckshield ID provided enhanced wear resistance and reliable slip protection, supporting smooth and safe traffic flow. On ramps, where gradients and braking forces place additional stress on the floor, Deckshield IDSD was installed to ensure maximum traction, durability and safety.

More than three years after completion, the carpark continues to perform exceptionally well. The flooring remains clean and intact, with no signs of peeling, discoloration or wear, while requiring minimal maintenance.
