Flowfresh RT and Flowfresh SR: Where, How and Why

Flowfresh RT and Flowfresh SR: Where, How and Why

26 May 2026

  • Flowfresh delivers hygienic, durable, HACCP-certified flooring.
  • Flowfresh RT withstands thermal shock, impact, and extreme cleaning.
  • Flowfresh SR provides slip resistance and hygiene in wet areas.
  • Both systems offer chemical resistance, hygiene compliance, low VOC.

In the fast-paced world of food and beverage, your floor is your first line of defense. Flowfresh offers a smarter, safer solution designed to handle the heat, spills and heavy traffic of busy kitchens and processing facilities.

Unlike standard floors that wear down over time, our phthalate-free formula ensures long-lasting durability and structural integrity. It’s seamless, incredibly easy to clean and fully HACCP-certified, giving you total peace of mind and regulatory confidence.

Strong floors should also support a healthier workplace. That’s why our systems use eco-friendly, low-emission materials that promote cleaner air and align with global green building standards, giving you a durable, sustainable foundation that protects your people and your operations.

Flowfresh RT: The Heavy-Duty Specialist

Have you ever poured hot water into a cold glass and watched it crack? That’s what happens to cheap floors when you steam-clean them. Flowfresh RT is designed to expand and contract at the same rate as the concrete beneath it. This heavy-duty, hygienic polyurethane screed is applied at a thickness of 6mm to 9mm. It is built for workplaces where extreme conditions are part of everyday work.

  • Thermal shock resistance: One of the most significant causes of floor failure is delamination due to rapid temperature changes. Flowfresh RT is engineered to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -45°C to 120°C (at 9mm thickness). This makes it the ideal choice for cooking areas and cold rooms where steam cleaning or blast freezing is frequent.
  • Mechanical strength: Its dense, lightly textured finish is built to endure high-impact, heavy traffic and abrasion in demanding production zones.
  • Where: Cooking areas, cold rooms and heavy-duty wet processing facilities.

Flowfresh SR: The Safety and Hygiene Specialist

Flowfresh SR uses a special aggregate broadcast (like a built-in grit) to create a slip-resistant surface. Even when the floor is covered with whey, water, or oil, it helps people walk safely. This heavy-duty, slip-resistant polyurethane system is typically applied at a thickness of 3mm to 4mm. It provides the same essential protection as the RT system but with a primary focus on worker safety in wet environments.

  • Positive traction: In industries like dairy or meat processing, floors are rarely dry. Flowfresh SR features a textured finish that provides essential grip for workers in these wet processing areas.
  • Seamless hygiene: Despite its textured surface, the system remains entirely seamless. Its smooth, dense surface is easy to clean and stops bacteria from growing, helping the facility pass strict health and safety checks.
  • Where: General wet processing areas where high slip resistance is the priority.

Benefits: Why Flowfresh?

Regardless of whether you choose the durability of RT or the textured safety of SR, both systems offer several universal advantages.

1. Superior chemical resistance: Both systems resist organic acids and harsh cleaning chemicals commonly found in food and beverage production.

2. Certified safety: They are HACCP International certified and designed to meet the requirements of regulatory bodies, providing confidence during inspections.

3. Environmental responsibility: The Flowfresh range supports sustainable construction and is Singapore Green Building Product certified (including 4-tick Leader-rated systems) for low VOC emissions.

The decision between Flowfresh RT and Flowfresh SR ultimately depends on your facility’s greatest operational risk. f your facility faces extreme temperature changes and heavy impact, the RT system is the best solution. If your priority is preventing slipping in a wet environment, the SR system is the superior choice.

By selecting the right specialised floor, you are investing in a safer and more durable facility.
