The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, a 6-star 48-storey luxury hotel that is part of Marriot International, is located in the heart of KL Sentral. The hotel nestles in the midst of one of the most prestigious and scenic neighbourhoods with the Lake Gardens, the National Museum and House of Parliament.

Flowcrete Asia and its applicator secured the job of providing a flooring solution to the refined hotel’s multi-storey car park facility, which includes over 470 car parking bays and 94 motorcycle bays. Deckshield ID, a Green Label certified, low VOC, solvent-free flexible polyurethane coating system, was selected for its pleasing aesthetics and functionality that provides a clean, safe and pleasant car park for guests, visitors and staff. In addition to being abrasion-resistant, Deckshield ID is also resistant to chemicals such as engine oil, battery acid, hydraulic fluids, fuel and other substances often found in car park environments.

The hotel management required that a distinct colour be used for each parking level to distinguish between the different parking levels. For level B3 to B5, 9,000 m² of Deckshield ID was applied in the following colours: B3 in blue, B4 in green and B5 in purple, and grey was used for the main roadways and parking bays. 1,800 m² of Deckshield ID was applied on the ramps.

The flooring project was completed successfully, creating a parking environment that has the look and feel worthy of the image of the luxurious hotel.
