Macau Lot 12: Isocrete K-Screed

Macau Lot 12: Isocrete K-Screed

The Macau Lot 12 Government Building is a large-scale, high-grade commercial development requiring floor finishes that meet stringent international performance standards. Spanning 25,000 m² across expansive floor plates, the project demanded a screed solution capable of delivering consistent quality, exceptional flatness and longterm durability. Key technical requirements included achieving BS 8204 SR1 surface regularity, with a maximum deviation of 3 mm under a two-metre straightedge, while providing the strength and performance expected for a commercial-grade specification.

Isocrete K-Screed with Polymer 70 was installed as a bonded screed across the entire 25,000 m² at a thickness of 25–60 mm. Its accelerated drying, enhanced strength, and reduced shrinkage and cracking supported efficient installation and reliable long-term performance. Strict quality control ensured uniform thickness and consistent surface regularity throughout the project. On-site verification on 2 June 2026, using a three-metre steel straightedge and laser beam, confirmed minimal to zero surface deviation across the entire installation. The screed exceeded BS 8204 SR1 requirements, achieving surface tolerances significantly tighter than the standard.

The Macau Lot 12 project demonstrates Isocrete K-Screed’s proven capability on largescale, specification-critical commercial developments, combining fast drying, durability and exceptional surface regularity to deliver reliable performance for projects requiring compliance with BS 8204 standards.
