The Star Vista (CapitaMalls Asia), Singapore

CapitaMalls Asia has opened its fabulous Star Vista development in Singapore. Representing the first major mall to be constructed in Buona Vista in over 30 years, it will offer a number of international brands, extended operating hours, al fresco dining and over 800 car parking lots.

The Star Performing Arts Centre above the mall is one of the country’s largest music venues, with a 5,000 seat capacity to host performances.

Flowcrete Asia has provided over 40,000 square metres of its traffic deck coating material Deckcoat EP, to line the multi-storey car parking structure over an installation spanning four months.

Deckcoat EP was chosen to serve as a protective coating to the new concrete structure, providing good wear resistance against a steady stream of vehicular traffic. Deckcoat EP is a solvent free, low-odour and seamless resin system offering clients a good level of chemical and abrasion resistance as well as a low maintenance finish.

Deckcoat EP is Green Label Certified, which means that it has been recognised for its sustainability and accredited as an environmentally friendly solution.

In keeping with the mall’s modern design, Deckcoat EP was provided in an array of eye-catching colours with pale grey used for the main traffic system, dark grey parking bays and specialist shades of blue, red and green to highlight allocated disabled, family and green parking spaces.
