Lantau Yacht Club Marina, Hong Kong

Formerly known as Discovery Bay Marina Club, Lantau Yacht Club Marina is surrounded by lush greenery and spectacular mountains against the backdrop of the South China Sea. It is a premium, members-only club offering world-class mooring facilities and amenities catering to the local leisure boating community and superyachts from around the world. When the club’s external walkway needed a refurbishment, Tremco CPG was selected to supply the flooring.

Traditionally used for lower basement carparks, over 1200 m² of Flowcrete’s Deckshield LBD + a UV topcoat was selected because of its coating system that incorporates a technically advanced polyurethane-based dissipating moisture barrier, which is an important feature for the external walkway as it is near the waterfront where humidity is high. The system is attractive, hardwearing and safe with UV protective properties. It also incorporates an anti-slip texture making it ideal for external walkway to provide a safe and pleasant path for the club.

The refurbishment work was completed within 60 days and the club was ready to welcome members and guests with a refreshed look in December 2020.
