Galaxy Macau’s HK16 billion Phase II project will see the entertainment venue significantly increase its footprint and customer capacity. To accommodate this growth, a multi-storey car park was required that would reflect the site’s high standards of customer satisfaction, aesthetics and functionality.
Flowcrete Hong Kong supplied over 50,000m2 of high performance resin flooring materials to achieve this. The main floor area of the car park was coated over a nine-month period with 20,000m2 of the green label certified, flexible, polyurethane deck coating system Deckshield ID as well as 14,500m2 of Deckshield LBD, which has been designed to act as a moisture barrier. Underneath the finish, 10,000m2 of both Isocrete K-Screed and the damp proof membrane system Isocrete M-Bond Extra was applied.
2,300m2 of Deckshield IDSD High Grade was used on the multi-storey facilities ramp while 10,000m2 of Flowcoat SF41 3mm Composite was applied in the loading bay and back of house areas.
Flowcrete Hong Kong’s systems were specified for this project in large part thanks to the success of the floors installed during Galaxy Macau’s Phase 1, which was completed in 2010. This included 15,000m2 of Deckshield in the initial car park and 18,000m2 of Isocrete K-Screed in the casino’s basement floor.
Flowcrete Hong Kong is committed to working closely with Galaxy Macau as the resort develops and grows.
