Macau Tower Car Park, Macau

The Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre, more commonly referred to as Macau Tower, was officially opened on December 19, 2001. The 338m tall landmark features an observation deck, restaurants, theatres and retails outlets. It is arguably most famous for having the highest commercial skyjump in the world.

After accommodating more than 20 years of tourism activities, the Macau Tower car park needed a complete repair and refurbishment to project a fresh new look, complementing all the adventurous and exciting activities that the tower embodies.

In the basement, 5,500m² of Deckshield ID, a Green Label certified, low VOC, solvent-free, flexible polyurethane coating system was installed throughout the car park and driveway to provide a colourful, watertight, hard-wearing surface. The striking electric blue floor finish was chosen to differentiate the handicapped parking lots from its surrounding deck coating, while a sunny yellow floor finish was applied to some parts of the carpark to brighten up the otherwise dull, dark, and musty environment.

In addition, Deckshield External Ramps was applied to 200m² of the basement ramps. Deckshield External Ramps incorporates special selected Bauxite/Emery aggregates that provides a hard-wearing and anti-slip surface in order to help drivers navigate their vehicles safely from one level to the next.
