To meet these demands, Flowcrete Asia was called upon to suggest seamless, durable and attractive flooring systems for the space.
Firstly, 650 m2 of the semi-dry cementitious Isocrete K-Screed was applied in the showroom, thanks to its suitability to commercial areas subject to high traffic. The high strength finish was the ideal sub floor layer on which to apply the floor finish.
Following Flowcrete Asia’s recommendation, 650 m2 of the slip resistant Rustik UV in complementary colours of Black gloss and Dark Grey in matte were used throughout the showroom, reflecting the brand’s corporate colours.
Separated by a thin aluminium border, the stone carpet system could be installed in a versatile design to mirror the interior and exterior architecture of the showroom itself.
As well as being aesthetically pleasing, the robustness and UV stable properties of the system were crucial, in order to avoid floor failure due to footfall, moving vehicles or exposure to the strong Malaysian sun.
The installation across the two zones was completed within the stipulated time schedule.
