Twins @ Damansara Heights, Malaysia

The luxurious residential development, Twins is located in the heart of Damansara Heights. With nearby locations including Jalan Damanlela, adjacent to Jalan Johar and within a stone’s throw from Damansara-Puchong Highway and North-Klang Valley Expressway, this popular residence was the brain child of a joint venture between four companies: Lion Group, American International Group Inc., Singapore’s Koh Maju and Heeton Holdings Ltd.

With 318 units over 38 storeys, the client required a refurbishment for the much used drop-off area outside the building. With over 300 residents utilising this area daily, the client called upon Flowcrete Asia to suggest a robust, hard-wearing solution that could withstand such traffic.

Thanks to the strength of the substrate, 250 m² of Deckshield ID was used for this area. In addition to being abrasion resistant, having noise-reducing abilities and being water tight, this deck coating system is also resistant to chemicals such as engine oil, battery acid, hydraulic fluids, fuel and other substances found in the automotive sector.

Slip resistance was also a priority for the client, as the safety of residents and visitors walking through the main entrance was paramount. As well as being robust, safe, environmentally friendly, low VOC and Green Label certified, Deckshield ID is also very aesthetically pleasing and creates a great first impression on all who visit.

Demarcation was also used in the form of arrows in a bright, highly visible yellow to guide drivers easily into the car park.

The installation took just seven days and the main entrance was ready to welcome residents and visitors alike on schedule.
